Mobile - 32-bit or 64-bit processor

People who install software on PC must be aware of the operating system type. We always hear of 32-bit or 64-bit. But does this hold good for mobile as well? To say the truth, anything more than 32-bit is an overkill for the mobile. The daily use of applications and other features of the phone doesn't demand more than 32-bit. In the mobile world, Apple only has 64-bit processor, but that too many apps may not need such range. To know more, what are the advantages of having 64-bit processor is that one can communicate quicker between the interfaces, interfaces like memory can have vast memory range. So, when we see the modern day smartphone memories they are trying to go to 4GB RAM and beyond, in this case 64-bit helps. But for 32-bit processor mobiles can't have more than 2-3GB.
