After a long years of service, we might hand over the android phone of ours to others or might keep it idle. But we tend to forget that we might have synced our google account in that phone. This could be a big security threat to us as an individual. If someone gets hold of that phone a simple internet connection can sync all your personal data into the phone.
The following are the steps to remove the google account from the android phone.
1. Open the settings menu on your device.
2. Once you click settings icon and open the following page opens. The page can be different in different phones/tablets.
3. Once the above page opens, check out for Accounts & sync (or) Accounts. Click on Accounts and following page may open.
4. Tap on google and following page opens. And when click on the dots on the right hand corner of the page, remove account option comes up.
This step removes the account from your android phone.
